For this assignment, I was tasked with planning and producing a complete 10-second motion design piece, going through all the main stages of a professional motion design workflow. The goal was to develop a portfolio-worthy animation, starting from concept development and visual exploration, through illustration and storyboarding, and ending with a finished animated result. All visual assets were designed in Adobe Illustrator and then animated in After Effects, with a strong focus on timing, flow, and visual storytelling. Before finalizing the animation, I also reviewed the illustrated frames in grayscale to check value contrast and ensure that hierarchy and readability were clear without relying on color.
Audio was not a required part of the assignment, but I chose to include it to strengthen the storytelling and overall mood of the animation. The soundtrack was sourced from the YouTube Audio Library, and the voice heard in the TV frame was generated using Narakeet. Adding sound helped bring more life and clarity to the final motion piece.
