In the first course assignment we focused on design principles, and we learned about Gestalt Theory and how we could use these principles when designing.
We were to make our own artworks to showcase three of the eight different listed theories.
I went with figure ground, closure and proximity.

States that things that are close together appear to be more related than things that are spaced farther apart.
Figure/Ground.
States that people instinctively perceive objects as either being in the foreground or the background.
Closure.
Is the illusion of seeing an incomplete stimulus as though it were whole.
